Definitions

“User” means the person or entity using the website and/or registering for any of the programs managed by Australian Science Innovations. “Owner” means the company that owns the website, Australian Science Innovations “Service Provider” means the company providing the website content management system and hosting services to the Owner for the website. “Website” means “URL”.

Agreement to be bound by Terms

It is a condition of use of this site that Users agree to these Terms and Conditions.

By registering to use this site Users agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Indemnity

The User agrees to indemnify the Owner and the Service Provider against any claim for loss or damage of any kind by any third party arising out of, or in relation to, the use of the Website by the User.

Copyright

Material on this site and all related program information is all the copyright of the Owner or the Service Provider and the copying or use of this information is not permitted unless prior written permission is received from the site owner.

Unavailability

From time to time information that would normally be available through the site may not be able to be accessed online because of technical or other problems. The Owner and the Service Provider expressly excludes liability to any User of this site in respect of the unavailability of content regardless of whether or not this unavailability is caused by the negligence of the Owner or the Service Provider.

Privacy and storage of your personal information

It is necessary for the Owner to capture information about you in order to provide the services offered through this website. The use of the information and your rights in respect of it is set out in the Privacy Statement on this Website.

Integrity of the competitions

If there is evidence of collusion or other academic dishonesty, students and teams may be disqualified.

Eligibility

Students competing at the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) must comply with the eligibility status detailed in the APhO statutes. If a competing student does not comply with the eligibility of the statutes, they will be disqualified.

Registrations

The appointed organisations and/or a team leader from each participating country can register a team in the Asian Physics Olympiad 2019.

A team leader must register their team via www.asi.edu.au/apho2019 using the team login ID and password sent to all participating countries in June 2018. To obtain a copy of the login details please email apho19@asi.edu.au.

Registrations must be made before the closing date for registrations. Key dates can be found at www.asi.edu.au/apho2019.

Team registration changes

A team registration can be changed after submission by emailing apho19@asi.edu.au.

Registration fees and payments

Registration fees are quoted in US dollars (USD).  Registration fees can only be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Payment of visitor and observer fees are mandatory.  Payment of visitors and observers fees are required by the date specified on the invoice.  Payment must be made before observers and visitors can take part in the Asian Physics Olympiads.

The single room supplement fee is mandatory for those who request a single room. Payment of the single room supplement is required by the date specified on the invoice. Payment must be made before the registrant can take part in the Asian Physics Olympiad.

Payment

An invoice will be emailed to the team leader within 5 days of the registration being made. Payment terms are net 30 days or by the last day of registrations as specified at www.asi.edu.au/apho2019.
